Granite Countertops Finish First in Consumer Reports Testing

Joseph Coupal - Tuesday, August 02, 2011

Countertop replacement is usually the best option when totally changing or remodeling your kitchen.

A beautiful countertop can really stand out in a kitchen. Consumer Reports tested 14 different countertop materials like granite and quartz, recycled glass, bamboo and soapstone. They applied things like tomato sauce and grape juice and let them sit overnight.

The bamboo surfaces stained badly.

They also tested the counters for heat, by placing a 400 degree pot on them: the bamboo counters scorched, and 2 recycled glass countertops cracked within 12 minutes.

When all the tests were done, quartz and granite countertops came out on top!

Kenneth C Lewis uses granite, corian, cambria quartz and other quality materials for replacing existing countertops.

Cambria Quartz Countertops are unmatched

Joseph Coupal - Thursday, June 17, 2010
Quartz, The Natural Choice
One of the hardest minerals on earth, Quartz gives Cambria its incredible strength and durability.   In fact, Cambria is twice a s strong as granite.   Cambria employs the latest innovation and technology to blend natural quartz stones to create deep, highly unique color selections for this exceptional surface material (Cambria Quartz Countertops).

Quartz, the Safe Choice
Unlike Granite, Cambria is nonporous and nonabsorbent - eliminating the risk of both bacterial growth and staining caused by the penetration of food, wine or moisture.  Granite is actually rather porous, and subject to absorption and staining if not maintained with costly sealers, conditioners, and cleaners and wax.  Cambria requires no sealing, polishing or reconditioning ... ever.  Simply wipe Cambria with warm water - it's that easy.

Quartz, a Sustainable Approach
Cambria is certified by GREENGUARD as a low-emitting product for indoor air quality and is suitable for school environments.  Cambria has been thoroughly tested for radon by Air Quality Sciences, Inc.  These tests ha e independently confirmed that Cambria natural quartz surfaces have on harmful emissions of any kind.

Excellence Guaranteed
Cambria products come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects.  The quality and integrity of our material and our company are unmatched.
